The Story Behind Pop-Up Prayers (P.U.P.s)

Having spent many years in the foster care system—even graduating high school while still in it—I understand how tough life can be. But I also know firsthand the hope we have in Christ Jesus. I know that trusting God through the hard times as well as the good, and living a life of prayer, transforms lives. Teaching kids how to follow God and pray is my passion because I know the difference it made in my own journey!

Say Hello to Leo!

Leo is a big ball of energy who loves surfing, camping, hiking, bike riding and playing sports and his family!

Leo enjoys learning about the Bible and he learned a fun way to remember how pray without ceasing at church summer camp called Pop Up Prayers (P.U.P.) that he can’t wait to share with you.

The Heart Behind the Story from the Author

Jesus said we must receive the Kingdom of God like a little child. This is the heart behind Leo and Alex. These two lovable friends share the profound truths of the Bible in a simple, fun, and easy-to-understand way. I pray their story shows you that following the Lord is a joyful adventure, encouraging you to love God with all your heart and become a student of His Word.

While I originally created Pop-Up Prayers for the kids I served at camp, the truth is we all need to pause and pray throughout our day, inviting God into every situation. I have even heard from many adults who now use P.U.P.s to help them remember to pray amidst their own busy lives and daily challenges.

Lisa Ann Sanchez is a former foster child who found strength and comfort in prayer during the tough times of childhood, She has a deep passion for helping kids connect with God.

She created the fun, memorable P.U.P. concept to help kids learn how to pray without ceasing.

She knows from firsthand experience that prayer changes everything and that calling on God changed her life.

Her mission is to launch a Prayer Movement for all ages!

Deep Breathing Exercises

Do these exercises a few times, taking a normal breath in between each one. Only do what you feel comfortable with and slowly work your way up to three to five sets throughout the day. Remember to give all your cares to God!
